5 EASY STEPS TO STRENGTHEN YOUR IMMUNITY

I've put together 5 vitally important 'take action steps' to bullet-proof your immune system.

Your immune system is comprised of several different white blood cells and glands.

Keeping your soldiers on guard (white blood cells) is of high priority.

Cleaning up the debris (enemy invaders like viruses) is essential for a healthy immune system.

Nutrients act as catalysts for your white blood cells ; strengthening and increasing their ability to capture and digest these viruses, bacteria or cancer cells.

FIRST STEP: EAT AN ALKALINE DIET.

A good example which demonstrates how our diet affects our health is as follows:

When a person eats refined carbohydrates or a high sugar diet; the following occurs:

Pathogenic substances in our bloodstream are kept at bay and 'not fed' when our diet is mostly vegetables, fruits, minimal amounts of meat and grains. This is because this diet produces an alkaline ph in our blood. Once sugar or simple carbohydrates is introduced; Hydrogen ions from the metabolism of carbs creates an acid ph. An acid ph in the blood supports pathogenic microorganisms.


SECONDSTEP: Vitamin D3 in therapeutic levels.

Vitamin D. This nutrient is actually a pro-hormone in our bodies. Yes, it can be absorbed into our skin via UVB rays; however, if we are indoors, if it's winter or we have sunscreen protecting our skin from the sun, vitamin D production will not occur.

Our deficit of active vitamin D is not only a personal , albeit, a worldwide health crisis. Since the human genome is laden with vitamin D receptors( a huge clue as to our extreme need for this hormone); its of the utmost importance to saturate these sites with therapeutic levels of D3.

The biggest reason why viruses become pandemic is because of our low vitamin D status; not because we are lacking vaccines!

Vitamin D , in a nutshell:

- Stimulates Monocytes into large Macrophages that gobble up and digest viruses, etc..

- Stimulates the VDR to produce Calcitriol; the strongest anti-microbial (anti-biotic) in our body.

- Down regulates the Renin-Angiotensin System: meaning that if your vitamin D serum levels are high enough; your lungs will not over-react from a bronchial or lung infection.

Your kidneys and heart are also protected from hyper-immune responses which increase inflammation.


THIRD STEP: EXERCISE AND AVOID STRESS

Basically, exercise moves the lymphatic tissue. moves the toxins out of the lymph, reduces stress and helps bring nourishing blood to our tissues.

Reduction of stress is vital for normal white blood cell production since WBC's kill viruses and other pathogens.


FOURTH STEP:

TAKE DAILY DOSES OF VITAMINS A, C AND ZINC

Vitamin A is a known anti-viral: 10,000- 25,000 units daily

Vitamin C: is a strong anti-viral and immune stimulant. Kids should take 500 mg twice daily. Adults: to prevent viral attacks: 1500 mg twice daily.

Zinc: A strong anti-viral mineral which prevents viral spread especially on mucous membranes. Placing a lozenge of zinc on the back of your tongue every 3 hours at the onset of a viral illness ,will most certainly curtail its course.

FIFTH STEP:

GO OUTSIDE IN THE SUN, PLAY, LAUGH AND ENJOY LIFE

Releasing stress by interacting with friends, playing golf, tennis, ball and goofing off is one of the most important ways to a healthy immune system. Plenty of research shows our white blood cells increase when we laugh and enjoy life.

Ironically; we have been told to go inside, no outside hikes in the sun, no beaches; in short, we have been told to NOT do everything that is indeed helpful for our immune system!
